  S H O R T   H I S T O R Y   O F   T A Y L O R I X  
 
  TAYLORIX WAS FOUNDED IN 1921 BY J.P. STIEGLER AND K. HAUSSER IN STUTTGART, GERMANY TO IMPROVE THE COPANY ORGANISATION AND ACCOUNTING.
THE NAME WAS TAKEN FROM FREDERICK WINSLAW TAYLOR (1856 1915) WHO'S INTENTION ALWAYS WAS THE IMPROVEMENT OF LABOUR PRODUCTIVITY AND AT LEAST COMPANY'S BENEFIT.

THE COMPANY DEVELOPED SEVERAL SOLUTIONS FOR IMPROVING THE ACOUNTING LIKE MANY ACCOUNTING MACHINES.
ONE OF THEM WAS   C O N T O F I X   - A CARD BASED ACCOUNTING SYSTEM, WHICH WAS ADDED TO (TORPEDO) TYPEWRITERS ALREADY IN 1939.

THE ACCOUNTING MACHINES WERE ALWAYS IMPROVED AND LEAD TO VERY FAST BOOKKEEPING (MACHINES) LIKE THE   F I X O D A T A   OR   F I X O M A T   SERIES.

IN 1966 TAYLORIX FOUNDED A COMPUTER CENTRE IN STUTTGART, GERMANY, WHICH PROVIDED EXTERNAL FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING.

IN 1970 THE COMPANY INTRODUCED THEIR FIRST ELECTRONIC ACCOUNTING COMPUTERS, WHICH WERE PRODUCED AT FIRST BY TA (TRIUMPH ADLER) AND LATER ALSO BY DEC (DIGITAL EQUIPMENT COMPANY).

THE MID 70S WAS THE ZENITH OF TAYLORIX: IN 1978 ABOUT 1400 EMPLOYEES WORKED FOR TAYLORIX.

IN THE BEGINNING OF THE 80S, THE BOOM OF PERSONAL COMPUTERS DMINISHED THE NEED FOR AN EXTERNAL ACCOUNTING PROVIDER MORE NAD MORE, SO TAYLORIX TRIED TO RELEASE SOME COMMODORE, IBM OR SIEMENS MADE PERSONAL AND ACCOUNTING COMPUTERS, WHICH COULD WORK AS INDEPENDANT OFFICE COMPUTERS AS WELL AS DIALOG SYSTEMS FOR THE COMPUTER CENTRE.

HOWEVER IN 1988 TAYLORIX WAS TRANSFORMED TO AN INCORPORATED COMPANY, WHICH' MAJORITY WAS HOLD BY PORSCHE.

IN 1994 THE DESINTEGRATION OF TAYLORIX WAS STARTED, AND BY 1999 THE COMPANY TAYLORIX DIDN'T EXIST ANYMORE.
